The name La Costeñita is an affectionate form of costeña—a woman or girl from the coast. It honors our owner’s roots in La Costa Chica, Mexico, which the family loosely translates as “the smaller coast.” Iguanas are common where she grew up, which is why one became the heart of our logo.
That coastal warmth now lives here in Round Rock through generous food, house-made salsa, bright flavor, and the kind of welcome that makes every customer feel like family.
